Then I laid this over bashful blue cardstock and rolled over it with the Snowman fun wheel with brilliant blue ink. Before removing the template, I outlined each circle with a white gel pen, then removed the template. I stamped the Snowman on whisper white and colored in. and mounted it on brilliant blue cardstock then on the bashful blue and mounted it all on Brilliant blue card base.

SCALLOPED FLOWERS- I punched out the scalloped circles and then slit each one on every other scallop so they looked like little hearts. Then sponged the edges and laid them face up on a spongy mat. Using the back end of my paper piercer, I pressed into each petal almost out to the edge to make the edges pop up, then I pressed into the center to make them pop more. And then added a ½ inch circle in the center of each flower. I mounted these on artichoke then hunter and mounted on soft suede card base

WATER WASHED BACKGROUND- I used watercolor paper and Dusty Durango, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry Ink. First I used a very wet aquapainter and brushed the top with Durango ink, then the middle with pumpkin Pie and bottom with Curry. You want the aquapainter very wet so you get ink on smooth slightly overlapping each color then go over it again with just water to blend better… Dry with heat gun, then I stamped the images from Nature Silhouettes Stamp set with black craft ink.

EASY PINWHEEL CARD- I punched out 8- 1 ¼ squares of doublesided designer paper, and adhered 4 to a 2 5/8” square of handsome hunter cardstock using Dotto repostional adhesive, I put the dotto on the green not each square. Then I lifted the edge of each square and inserted a square of other side of paper diagonally inside. Then once I was all finished with that, I mounted another 2 5/8” inch square of green on the back to finish off the matted look. I adhered all of that on kraft cardstock and mounted on another piece of hunter with small hunter photo corners and mounted on bravo burgendy card base.

Last week's projects

Just dawned on me that I never uploaded last week's projects!! Sorry! But better late than never so here they are!

Cracked Glass- I stamped the tree in Basic black and then I masked a circle using the ¾ “ circle punch and then dabbed on Elegant Eggplant, then Night of Navy and then Going Gray Inks. I removed the mask and colored the circle in with Curry Marker. Then I dipped the entire piece in Versamark and embossed with Glassy Glaze and repeated. Then I let it cool for a few minutes. Once cool, I bent the entire thing in all different directions to crack the embossing. I sponged on a little Gray ink to make it get in the cracks to give more of a antique look. I used the splashes from Extreme Elements in Eggplant ink and then used Curry cardstock to mat and mounted it all on Basic Gray Card base

Faux Tin For this card I took a piece of Metallic Silver Cardstock and ran it through big shot with in an embossing folder. After it is embossed, flip it over to the indented side and with Basic Gray Ink. Mount it to Black cardstock and then on a Basic Gray card base. The Best Wishes is stamped in Basic Gray also on Metallic Silver and punched out with the Large Oval punch and mounted on a Black Scalloped Oval.

Salt Frosted Edges- I stamped the snow flakes in Bashful Blue and then punched them out using the Boho Blossoms punch. I popped a few up with dimensionals and just adhered the rest. I stamped the very merry with Ballet Blue. I assembled the ballet blue and Bashful Blue cardstocks together and then I used Mono multipurpose adhesive and LIGHTLY covered the edges of the Ballet Blue and then scooped it through a tray of table salt… This gives the “frosted” look

Stenciling- I punch out the ornament with the ornament punch and used the outline. Then I ran the Merry Details Sizzlit through the Big shot and also used the outline piece. I used these as stencils and sponged Soft Suede in the ornament shape and the then sponged the gold on the ‘cap’ of the ornament. Then using the merry details I sponged silver ink into the different shapes to decorate the Ornaments.

This week's Stampin Up Special!

Week 2 Deals of the Week
Special Prices
115961 Perfect Setting Bigz XL die $25.99
114515 Flower Burst Embosslits die $5.99
116760 Pop-Up Three Tier Cake Bigz XL die $25.49

Order these today on my website http://www.tanyawilliams.stampinup.net
Offers end on October 18th
While you are on my website, don't forget to check out the clearance rack!

One of this month's club projects...

I have this one ready for club, so I figured I would post it too! I stamped the flower and words with basic gray ink. For the Faux metal tag, I preinked the bird stamp with versamark and set it aside, I punch a square out of basic gray cardstock and covered it in versamark ink. Added silver embossing powder and heated, let cool for a second and repeated, while it was still hot I pressed the versamark inked bird stamp into it to make the impression. Then I assembled the card.

Stained Glass technique- I used a bashful blue card base, black and white cardstock,& vellum cardstock. I stamped the image from Holy Family on the vellum with Black craft ink and the star in summer sun craft ink and embossed both with clear powder. Then I flipped it over and colored the back with Summer Sun, Brocade Blue, creamy caramel, close to cocoa and blush blossom markers. I then cut the black strips of cardstock diagonally on the corners to create a frame and adhered the vellum to the strips to make the frame, I added to 2 silver brads to each corner. I adhered the white cardstock to the center of the blue base and then attached the corners of frame to the card with dimensionals

PUNCHED BIB- I used So saffron, whisper white and certainly celery cardstock and saffron & celery inks. I punched a scallop out of designer paper and stamped a 1 3/8” circle, stamped the birdie from Nursery Neccessities on the circle, and adhered it to the scallop. Then using the 1 1/4 “ punch to cut out a small section of the matted circle to make it shaped like a bib and added a little ribbon for the bib ties. I tore the saffron cardstock and adhered white to the torn edge

I couldn't decide which picture to use for this one so I am posting both!

SOOT Stamping- I used basic gray card base, and dusty Durango mat. I took a piece of glossy cardstock and moved it quickly back and forth through the flame of a candle. Keep the cardstock moving so it doesn’t catch on fire. Be sure not to touch the soot because it will wipe off very easily. I stamped the images into the soot using Dusty Durango ink. Then lightly sprayed with hairspray to seal the soot.

Sanded Textured Background For this card I used Dusty Durango for card base and soft suede for the textured piece, I stamped the pumpkin and words in Durango ink and the leaves in suede. The words were punched with the modern label punch. I ran the suede piece through the big shot using the Final Press Embossing Folder. Then lightly sanded the raised imprint with a sanding block to give it a little fuzzy texture.

Striped Pastel Background- So this week I stole an idea Ruthann showed me. I rubbed orange, green, and brown pastels lightly on a piece of very vanilla card stock using sponge dauber and then stamped the pumpkin using pumpkin pie ink and erased the pastels from the inside of the pumpkin and then erased strips in the background. I sponged orange pastels back inside the pumpkin and added a little green to stem, and stamped his face in basic brown and added the happy Halloween. I stamped the garden green card base with brown gourds and added hemp bow with a mini glue dot.

MULTICOLORED BACKGROUNDS- This is a easy but elegant background technique. I used the Medallion Background stamp and pale plum card stock matted with Perfect Plum card stock. First I stamp the Medallion randomly with Pale Plum ink, and then with Perfect Plum Ink… Clean the stamp thoroughly and then stamp over both of these with White Craft Ink. I wrapped white grosgrain ribbon around both corners and adhered it to back of the Pale Plum and mounted it on the Perfect Plum mat/base. Then I stamped the Elegant Thank You in Perfect Plum and punched it out and matted on a 1 ¾ Circle with a dimensional to pop it up a little.

Layered Lattice- I used Brocade Blue card base and Whisper White cardstock, brocade ink and ribbon and the new Lattice die cut for the big shot. I ran 2 pieces of white cardstock through the big shot using the lattice die, and turned them diagonally and adhered to each other using mini glue dots. I added a brad and adhered to card. Then using mono multipurpose adhesive, I highlighted areas of the design and added dazzling diamond glitter. I stamped Happy on a 1” strip of cardstock and adhered to the bottom. Then I punched the largest hole of the crop a dile holding it all the way in from bottom center of cardstock. And laid the ribbon flat over the front of card and brought ends around and up through hole and tied a knot around the ribbon. This locks bow on card.

Wow!!

This card was inspired by ConnieM and I had to try out a modified version of it!! It turned out awesome! I used the Branch Out set that is currently on the Dormant List (meaning you can order it, but it is not in the current catalog).

Layered Embossing- First stamp the tree from Branch Out Stamp set in Chocolate Craft Ink and emboss with clear. Then stamp the snowflakes with white craft ink and emboss. Next taking a template made from the 1 ¾” punch. Place it over the tree leaving the hole where you want the moon, holding template in place first fill circle by sponging Banana ink in hole, then sponge on some Curry and finally some mustard ink. Without moving the template, press versamark over template to cover the circle with versamark, remove template and emboss with clear. Sponge caramel ink over the center where the tree and moon is… then sponge chocolate chip around the edges. Using a white gel pen highlight the tree limbs of tree… Then I just smeared a little white ink on the torn piece of chocolate chip cardstock and assembled card! I think it turned out gorgeous!

UPCOMING STAMP CAMP

STAMP CAMP
Nov 07 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spend a half of a day stamping and having a blast at Stamp Camp! Then you will need the following punched from white 2 Wide Oval, 2 Large Oval, 2- 3/4” Circles, 4 Scallop Ovals ( large ovals could also be used). From Rose Romance you need 2 Heart to Heart Punches, 6- ¼ circles, & 2 small ovals, then in Pink Piroutte you need 2 – ½ circles and then 2 – ¼ circles in black… I sponged all the edges and then adhered everything but the ears on the front and then put the ears on the inside so they show when the card is open as well.

CHICK CARD – For the card base you will need Barely Banana cut to 5x8 1/4 then you will need 2 scalloped or large ovals and 1- 1” Circle cut in half from barely banana,2 five petal flowers and a snow blossom from pumpkin pie, 2-1”circle from White and 2- ½” circles from Chocolate Chip. I stamped the egg on Designer paper and then cut out… The stripes were done on Kiwi and Pink and then cut out , the pink pirouette on the inside line and the kiwi on the outline and mounted them together.

FRAMING- I took a scrap piece of cardstock and cut out a rectangle in the center. I used this as a mask over my piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Then I stamped the flowers from Botanical Blooms in Sage Shadow ink and then sponged the same color ink to fill in the rectangle. I dressed it up a little by adding paper piercing and Organza Ribbon and tone on tone stamping the same flowers on the Sage Shadow card base

MOSAIC – For this mosaic, I used scraps and a large self adhesive label .Dig in your scrap drawer, box or whatever and find some scraps of designer paper and coordinating cardstock. Tear it into tiny pieces. Then I kind of sprinkled them over the sticky side of the label and pushed them down and rearranged to cover most of the area. I added the extra pieces wherever needed. Then I took a tiny spoon and sprinkled various areas with a tiny bit of glitter. Then take embossing powder ( You can use more than one color) and fill in the rest of the sticky areas and heat emboss. Stamp images over the entire thing, I used the new Sense of Time set since it was vintage looking, and cut into 1” squares. Adhere them in any pattern on the card Base.

Stamp Club Projects

Here are the 3 cards that I taught at last weeks Monthly Hostess Stamp Club!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317206074687745970" style="DISPLAY: block; Then I used the Eyelet Border Punch to punch the piece of pumpkin pie card stock to dress it up a little.

MULTIPLE EMBOSS RESIST- First I inked up the fish from the Ocean Commotion Stamp Set with versamark and then baha breeze, then stamped. Then I inked up the seahorse with versamark and then creamy carmel and stamped. Then I embossed both with clear embossing powder. Then I did the shells with versamark and close to cocoa, and embossed them. The I used the Swirl from Baroque Motifs stamp set inked in versamark and Always Artichoke and embossed again… Then finally I added the swirls from Ocean Commotion with Versamark and Kiwi Kiss and stamped then embossed them. Then sponged the top with Night of Navy and the bottom with creamy caramel. The neatest thing about this is you can overlap images but the clear embossing powder will repel the new ink so it doesn’t show up and doesn’t require masking.

TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS – For this card I used the new Textured impressions folder to give the beautiful embossed background. Then I Stamped the Rose from Fifth Ave Floral set in Rose Red Ink on White Cardstock and cut it out, I used Watercolor crayons to lightly color areas of the flower then followed up with an Aquapainter to blend the colors. I used the edge of the horizontal slot punch on the crease of the card to hold my ribbon and then used the new Scalloped Oval punch and stamp set from the upcoming Occasions Mini for the words. I also used the Large oval punch to cut out the saying

OUTLINING- Ink your stamp with a light color ink as normal, (I used So Saffron) then take a marker (I used Really Rust and outline the inked image with the marker. “Huff” your breath on it to remoisten the ink and stamp! This gives your image an outlined look aroung the edges!

3/11/09 Class

Last weeks class:

MELTED CRAYON BACKGROUND – For this card I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and Wax Paper, and sharpened old crayons (just regular crayons like crayola!) over the cardstock in random colors. Then I took a dry paint brush dipped in Pearl Ex and tapped Pearl Ex over the crayon shavings. Next I covered it with the wax paper and used my heat tool to melt the wax, while rubbing a bone folder over it to smush the wax all over the cardstock. Lift up the wax paper and make sure all the white is covered. You can add more shavings if necessary, and heat again. Finally I stamped the images directly over the crayon with black craft ink and embossed with clear powder. Save the wax paper, It makes awesome embellishment!

WATERCOLORING WITH CRAFT INKS- I stamped the flowers and squiggles from Doodle This Stamp set on the Taken with Teal Card stock in Staz-On Ink. Then I made a pallet with Yoyo Yellow, Pink Passion and Green Galore CRAFT reinkers. Using my aquapainter. I picked up just tiny bits of the craft ink and painted my image. The craft ink shows up vibrant even on dark cardstocks! Then I used Mono Multipurpose Adhesive and the pink glitter from the fine cosmo glitter stack and highlighted the image.

TRI-FOLD MATCHBOOK CARD- Cut cardstock in half to measure 4 ¼ x 11 and then score at 3 5/8 and 7 1/4. Cut about ½ off one end. I used the Big Shot to cut out the L and then used Define Your Life & A Beautiful Thing stamp sets, as well as the St. Patty’s Stamp from a retired set. I also used the Slit Punch to to hold the card closed. This would also be really cute as a gift card holder by attaching a gift card inside using a mini glue dot.

LACED MEDALLION- For this card I used Brushed Gold Cardstock, Not Quite Navy and Sage Shadow. The Brushed Gold Cardstock was cut to 2 ¾ x 2 ¾ . Then using my new favorite punch…the Eyelet Border Punch. I held the cardstock as evenly as possible in the center of each edge and punched, leaving this beautiful design. The flower is the melted crayon covered wax paper embossed with Black Embossing powder using the Flower from God’s Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it 3 times. Punched out the design 2 times with the 5 Petal Punch and cut out the remaining one and layered it with dimensionals.

What a week!

I know... I know... I am late posting this week! I have had one heck of a week!

First I would like to thank everyone who came to Stamp Camp as well as my friend and downline, Emma, who co-hosted the camp with me, and April, my oldest daughter who helped us out during the morning session! I hope everyone had a great time!!!It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves! That was my fun part of the week!!

Sunday, I was so excited! I love snow and we were supposed to get a nice snowstorm!! YAH!!! I couldn't wait until Monday to go out and play! Well, since I had slept in on Sunday and school was already cancelled on Monday, I stayed up late watching TV. It was about 1 am, and I heard this exploding sound that actually shook the house!! I jumped up and went running upstairs, as soon as I got to the top of the steps, I saw it!!! 18,000 gallons of water flooding my backyard and a tree laying across my crumpled pool! Not sure what I thought I could possibly do, I threw on shoes and went running outside... My husband was right behind me. All of a sudden I slipped and went falling backwards and he tried to catch me but instead I slammed my hand into him and down I went on my wrist!! He helped me up and we looked how bad the damage was with the pool... YEP! DESTROYED! So we go in the house and my hand has completely bruised and swelled. Great! Thankfully it was just a bad sprain and yes, the insurance company is supposed to cover a replacement pool. well we have $1000 deductible but it is better than paying $6000 for a new pool... oh and a new roof and stuff for the shed which it hit before rolling off on the pool. I had to have April come over and cut all my cardstock for this weeks class and I figured it would be pushing it to ask her to blog for me too so that is why I am late!

So anyway... on with the projects...

RIBBON TRIM- If you look at the ribbon you will see it is celery trimmed with chocolate chip. It was originally just Celery. I laid it flat on a piece of scrap paper and held it still while drawing a line with my marker beside it, just touching the edge. This will allow ink to get just on the edge of the ribbon. I also used the plastic wrap technique on this card. I crumpled Plastic Wrap and inked it and used it to ‘sponge’ ink on card to give a little different background. You can see it behind the flowers.

SLIDER CARD – I used Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used the Horizontal Slot Punch on the edges of the Wide Oval Punch and then adhered ribbon to the back of the card stock, went in slot on top of oval on one side and came up through the slot on the bottom of the other side and then adhered the other end of the ribbon on the back of the cardstock. This makes a SLIDER. The piece that has So Kind slides back on forth on the ribbon to show either set of words or leave it in the middle to show both!!

SLANTED FRONT- For a little different look, I cut the Bashful Blue card base 5 ½”x 8 and scored at 4 ¼ . Then cut diagonally from score to 1” down on the other edge. The Sale a Bration Designer Paper was cut 5 x 3 ½ and cut on the same angle. I added a piece of textured Kiwi Kiss inside so the color would show and bring out the colors in the paper. The insert was cut at 5 x 3 ¾ . Then I used various Circle Punches with the Seeing Spots and Think Happy Thoughts Stamp Sets.

PUNCH SHEEP- On this card, I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, vellum, Whisper White, Basic Black and Mellow Moss Cardstock. I random stamped the Easter Wishes Stamp tone on tone for the background. For the Sheep, I used the Trio Flower Punch, Large Oval (cut off a little less than half, Heart to Heart Punch (only used 1 heart cut in half for ears), Scalloped Circle Punch, and the Word Window Punch (cut in half to make 2 legs)

Feb 28th Stamp Camp Sneak Peak!!

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5306778998592953954" style="FLOAT: right; Using my aquapainter and Pumpkin Pie ink, I just added some lines of shading around the center of the summer sun flowers going all the out to the edge without reinking. I cut the Artichoke flower into 4 sections and used it for leaves. Also I double stamped the word Celebrate in Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie to give it the faux embossed look.

HINGE CARD – For this card I used a 3x 4 ¼ piece of Barely Banana and Pink Pirouette, and then a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of Baja Breeze. I used the scallop punch on the Banana then adhered it to the Baja, leaving about ½ at the top with no adhesive. I decorated the Pink piece and attached the chick only by putting adhesive only at the top and then attached the pink piece only using a brad on one side about ½ under the Banana piece. The card will now open on the “brad hinge”. When closed the mounted chick goes in front of the Banana and the pink goes behind it.

PUNCH SHAMROCK- On this card, I stamped the heart from Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set 4 times on Mellow Moss using Handsome Hunter Ink and punched them out with the heart punch. Then I also stamped the Good Luck and punched it with the Designer Label Punch. I stamped the background with Vanilla Craft ink using the circular stamp from the same set. Then adhered the 4 hearts together. I used Linen Thread to tie a knot on the button and adhered it to the center. Then I adhered the “good luck” to the card and just put a Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware piece over it using the vanilla brads.

MICROBEAD FLOWER CENTER- Microbeads can be used to highlight and decorate in many ways. One of my favorite ways to use them is to punch a ½ circle of cardstock (summer sun in pic) and place a pop up glue dot on it. Squeeze edges slightly to make it fit the circle perfectly. Then just press it down in your container of

Microbeads. This makes the perfect center for flowers. In the sample, I used this technique on a Fresh Cut Note with the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set and a 5 petal flower punch.

February Club

I never made it back on last week to post the other 2 projects that my club members got to make last Thursday, so I figured I would post them now! I have had at least one home sick every day for the past week and a half... come on spring!! Thank goodness I have I not caught anything yet!! I don't have time to be sick HAHA! I have class tonight and the hostess club tomorrow night and class and stamp camp next week. Wonder if I can overdose on vitamin C?!?! Let's hope not! Here is a sneak peek of one of the projects for tomorrow night's club... It is made using one of the new texture templates for the big shot and One of a kind stamp set. I love these texture plates, they really add pizazz to any project and is so quick compared to dry embossing!

For tonight's class, I am teaching stamp positioning using the Stamp a Majig. Here is the scoop:

STAMP POSITIONING – Sometimes you come across a stamp set that really needs exact positioning to get the best result. A stamp-a-majig makes it easy! First I stamped the tree trunks on the cardstock and set aside. Then I lined up a piece of vellum in the corner of the stamp-a-majig, and then stamped directly down on it by using the inside corners of the T to guide the stamp. This is now your guide. Line up the image on the vellum exactly where you want it on the cardstock you are stamping. Then place the stamp-a-majig on the corner of the vellum, and without moving the “T”, take away the vellum and stamp directly down in the corner of the T. Your image will be exactly where you wanted it.

Everyone will also be learning how to make the following projects:

FAUX PUNCHED TIN CABINET- You will need 2- 1”x4 ¼ strips, 2- 1”x 5 ½” strips, and 5 ½”x 8 ½ card base (creamy caramel on sample) then a 3x4 piece of brushed so silver cardstock. First I took my paper snips and made some dung marks with the point of the scissors and added some scratches. The using direct to paper, made some swipes on the strips for a wood appearance. I stamped the silver with a stamp from Polka Dot Punches (any dot design would work) and then lightly sanded each piece. I held each long and short strip together in an “L” shape and cut diagonally to “miter” the corners. Then just adhere it all together...

HEARTS FLOWER- Using 6 hearts (mine were so saffron) lightly add color using a craft pad (I used Regal Rose) then ink just the edges using a darker shade of craft ink (I used Rose Red). Adhere 3 hearts to your cardfront, with tips touching. Then cover the excess spaces between them with the remaining 3 hearts. I used brads for the flower center but glitter, cardstock, ink etc could be used instead.

Last but not least the:

JOY FOLD CARD- You will need one piece of cardstock 4 ¼" x 8 ½",one piece of cardstock 3" x 8" ,one piece of patterned paper 4" x 5 ¼" and one piece of different patterned paper 2 ¾" x 4"and then any cardstock you need to decorate it. Start by scoring the 4 ¼ x 8 ½ piece at 5 ½ then score the 3x8” piece at 4”. Cover the 5 ½ inch section with the lg. pc. Of paper and the flap with small. Decorate the 3x8” piece as desired and attach ½ of it to the base. The other half will fold over the flap. Notice the small oval on the bottom. It is adhered with a dimensional so the very edge of the cupcake piece will fit under it to “lock’ the card.

Good Afternoon!

I am so sorry I have not posted to much in the past week or so! I have been soooo busy. Saturday I went to a 12hr long scrapbooking crop, so I spent most of the week packing up supplies and things for that... I must brag and say I got 29 pages done! Then Monday night I had the local Pop Warner Board Meeting, then last night was the State Pop Warner meeting in Seaford....Anna, my 13 yr old got sick on Sunday, so yesterday morning I took her to the doctor which is 45 minutes away.... THE FLU! UGH! So the doctor told me if I got the other 2 littles ones their flu shot ASAP then it might help to keep them from catching it... The only time they could fit them in was yesterday afternoon, so I brought Anna home, went to the elem school, got Alyssa, then the middle school to get Alex and then the 45 minute ride back to the doctor for their shots.... we had the gourmet McDonalds for dinner and then I came in the house for about an hour or so and out the door to the board meeting... I got home at about 10 and started planning for tomorrow nights class... Just finished everything up.... hope you enjoy!

HIGHLIGHTING- Stamp images as desired. I randomly stamped the daffodil from the Just Buzzing By Stamp set. Then using a white gel pen, outline small areas of the image. This not only highlights the design but it also adds the illusion of dimension.

DECODER CARD- This is a really fun interactive card design. Stamp a message design or phrase with a light blue ink such as Bashful Blue or Baja Breeze. Then stamp over and over the image in a red ink. I used Rose Red but it really depends on what brand or shade your cello wrap is. Then make a small decoder using a piece of red cellophane gift wrap adhered inside cardstock with a hole. When held over the ‘secret message’ only what you stamped in blue will show up

MOONLIGHTING- Using a scrap piece of cardstock. Punch a circle. Use the piece of cardstock with the hole as a template for where you want your moon or sun. Using a sponge and a yellow ink (I used More Mustard sample) and sponge ink in the hole very lightly in the center getting darker toward the edges. Then use the circle you punched and cover the moon/sun and sponge either light blue, dark blue, grey etc. around the circle to create the sky. Remove the circle and stamp desired image

FAUX SUEDE- It is a little hard to see the faux suede in the picture, but it is used on the belt buckle. Take a piece of chipboard, and using direct to paper, swipe over it a few times with close to cocoa ink. Let dry, then repeat with Creamy Caramel. Let Dry and repeat with More Mustard. It actually turns out better if you do not completely cover it each time. The light and dark variances actually gives it more of the suede look.

Hard cards to make...

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MD6H9kXqfeA/SYh94jd4AOI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/bMYl4BSiHF0/s320/ATT00376.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298623372148080866" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MD6H9kXqfeA/SYh94Gsd_II/AAAAAAAAAJI/GMWrddE05n0/s320/ATT00374.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298623364424662146" />
The hardest cards for me to make are sympathy cards... One because it is always sad to make and two because most people usually keep sympathy cards forever in a memory box, or at least I did when I lost my son. One of April's close friends passed away suddenly on Saturday in his sleep, so sad. He was only 18 yrs old and had his wisdom teeth removed at the beginning of the week. The autopsy report is not back yet, but they are thinking either sepsis or meningistis due to infection from the dental work! How sad for such a young life to be lost so quickly from something so simple as his wisdom teeth being removed. April came over today and asked me to make a really big card so all his friends could sign it and they could present it to his grandmother with whom he lived. She said there needed to be room for 20-30 signatures. I used 3 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11. Pink Piroutte, Mellow Moss, and Natural Ivory. I scored 1/2 inch from the top of the Pink cardstock and attacthed it to

the Mellow Moss with Eyelets then used the Rose is a Rose Stamp set along with a retired set called A Brighter tomorrow. I used Pink Piroutte, Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss , & Always Artichoke Inks. Then added Dazzling Diamonds to accent each flower (with Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive). I cut around the flowers and added some ribbon and a couple buttons to fancy it up a little.

Rest in peace, Payton!

Tanya

A few new projects!

After a busy weekend, I finally had time to do some stamping today! YAH! These are the 4 projects that I will be teaching at my Adult Ed Class this week !!

ANTIQUE TECHNIQUE – Using Earth Colors, Choose a light color (so Saffron) cardstock and a slightly darker ink (More Mustard). Once image is stamped (Choc Chip) sponge More mustard heavily around the edges, and getting lighter toward center with no ink on the very center. Then use Darkest ink (Choc Chip) and smear pad lightly on very edges. This gives the cardstock and aged, antique look.

PUNCH OWL- You will need 1 Choc Chip Scalloped Circle (cut in ½), one white scalloped circle, 1- 1 ¾ " circle, 1 five petal flower (you only need 1 petal) 1- boho flower punch (only using ½ of one flower), a Round Tab Punch, 2- ½ " circles, and 2- ¼" circles. Adhere together as shown!

PAPER PIERCING- Using the the Mat Pack Paper Piercing template and a paper piercer or hat pin, line up the template to the edge of the area you want to paper pierce. You can poke holes in any pattern you want such as every hole, every other hole, zig zag, a triangular shape etc. For an added effect, use a white gel pen and connect the holes you poked to give it a Faux Stitched look.

Also note this is a Scalloped Note, that I scored 1" from the edge and adhered to a 6x6 piece of cardstock to make it an opening card.

A TWIST TO EMBOSS RESIST- Using craft inks and clear embossing powder, emboss in the colors you of your choice on glossy cardstock(sage shadow, almost amethyst) Then Brayer over it with a light color (blush blossom) ink. Take a darker ink (cameo coral) and using the very edge of the pad, lightly swipe it across the cardstock to make thin lines. Lightly wipe off all excess ink with tissue.

Hope you enjoy them! Thursday, Emma and I will be finalizing our stamp camp projects for the Stamp Camp we are holding on February 28th and getting the supply orders ready! So since I have not stamped anything today, I figured I would share a few pictures of some of my favorite projects I saw there. Don't be surprised if you see some of these show up in future posts that I have slightly modified to teach for one of my classes! I love creating projects on my own but sometimes I see some that are so awesome that I have to CASE (which means copy and steal everything!!). I also look at some projects and just use them for inspiritation to get my wheels turning, but we all have those days when we sit down at out stampin' table and just stare blankly at all the cardstock, stamps, inks, and embellishments and draw a complete blank, and those are the days that CASE'ing comes in handy!!

Well gotta run!
Have a great day!
Tanya

SCAVANGER HUNT

Hello! I have to admit it is my favorite! I found the template online and since my scor-pal finally arrived, I have been really score happy so I decided to do the bag! Here it is:

I included a quick template of where to score. I HAVE to HAVE it for my classes! HAHA!) The Big Shot was definitely one of those NEEDS. Now it is all the new accessories for it, along with some new stamp sets, that awesome new circle cutter, then if I get the circle cutter, I NEED a glass mat... If I can cut all size circles, I NEED some new designer paper to cut circles out of... And circles would look really bland without the new eyelet border punch... Wait! What about those crocheted flowers?!?! They would really dress up that eyelet border punch... But when I order those, I need to get some of that canvas cuts....

Anyway, this was how my whole week has went! But first, I have to do a little bragging! During the board meeting, one member slipped up, not realizing who's mom I was and announced that they even had one cheerleader this year make it to the All-American Regional Scholars Team... then says I think her name was Anna Williams. I blurted out "that's my daughter!" and she says "OOPS! Act surprised when you get the official call!!" Only 42 kids from the entire Henlopen Region (which is almost all of DE and Berlin, and Salisbury) moved on to regionals based on their grades in school. Only 35 7th Grade Girls from the entire Eastern Region which includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and D.C.

made the 2009 Scholars Team!!! First I have to share the news!! Straight from Leadership in Orlando FL... Later this year, Stampin' Up! will be introducing DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!!! I can not wait! I have wanted to try this for a while but I have been hesitatant because I love the look of Stampin' Up! sets and papers etc. so now I will be able to have the best of both world's!!! A program with our exclusive designs as well as matching colors, images, etc so I can still embellish by hand and everything will still coordinate!! YEAH!! It will be called "My Digital Studio" and it is supposed to be super easy and user friendly! They say if you can use WORD, you can use this program. I love handmade scrapbooks and will probably not give them up entirely but at the rate I am going, I will never get caught up so this will be fun to play with and try to get some pages done quickly!

Will post again soon!

Once Again...
